The First Friday Fasting prayer service is when Tabor witnesses the largest gathering every month. The services are conducted in 5 different languages i.e., English, Marathi, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil. The English section has the highest number with nearly 3000-plus people taking part, followed by the Marathi section which witnesses 2000-plus people. The faithful attending the Malayalam and Hindi sections are close to a 1000 each. The Tamil section has nearly 300 participants in the prayer-service. The English, Malayalam & Tamil sections have the prayers conducted at Tabor Ashram. The Marathi and Hindi speaking people gather at Tabor Bhavan for the Fasting Prayer Service. Unsurprisingly, it is considered to be the most unique multi-lingual, multi-cultural & multi-religious gathering of people in prayer & faith, from various walks of life. Perhaps it is one of its kind in the whole country. Every First Friday as the people of God gather at this house of God, we exclaim in humble gratitude: This is the great day of the Lord and it is His doing.
Residential Retreats
The Residential (Live-in) Retreats are conducted every week in English & Hindi languages at TABOR ASHRAM. Every second Sunday of the month Marathi language retreats are preached at TABOR BHAVAN. Every first Sunday of the month Malayalam retreats are conducted at TABOR BHAVAN. We have Tamil retreats at TABOR ASHRAM and Konkani retreats at TABOR BHAVAN as per retreat schedule. No prior registration is required. Residential retreats are a time for prayer, reflection and renewal of life. It is a time to move from the daily routines of everyday life and journey in meditation of the Word of God to deepen relationship with God. The participants have to live in Tabor Ashram from Sunday 4pm to Wednesday 4pm. You have to bring toiletries, bed sheets, blankets, pillow cases, towels and other personal items. It is important to note: Silence is to be kept during the retreat. Cell phones and electronic gadgets must be switched off from beginning to the end of the retreat. Use and storage of alcohol, cigarettes, tobacco or any other stimulant will not be allowed.
Sneha Sangamam
Snehasangamam is the special prayer service for those who like to know and follow Jesus. It is conducted in Hindi language on the second Saturday of every month at Tabor Ashram. The prayer-service begins at 9:00a.m and concludes at 5:00p.m. Nearly 3000 non-christians come and worship the Lord Jesus Christ, listen to the Word of God, and receive many healing, deliverance and witness numerous miracles.
Saturday Services
Every Saturday we do have prayer-service conducted in English and Hindi simultaneously at Tabor Ashram. It commences at 9:00a.m. and gets over at 4:00p.m. The number on an average is 1000 participants in each of the sections. The second Saturday of every month generally witnesses a huge gathering. On Saturdays healing prayers are conducted during Holy Eucharistic adoration.
Growth Retreats
Residential Growth Retreats are conducted as per retreat schedule. The criteria to attend a Growth Retreat is: Attendance of Minimum two Regular Retreats at Tabor. This is a rare opportunity to deepen in spiritual life. The faithful eagerly wait eagerly with prayer and penance for Tabor Special Growth retreats as they bring into their lives abundant spiritual gifts.
